Reminder: All business and CE meetings will be held at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise scheduled.
The KCMGA Board Meetings for 2016 will be held on the last Monday of the month.

BBQ will be served but we ask that membership bring the fill in’s such as potato salad, coleslaw, potato chips, desserts, etc. Family and friends are also invited. We will have an “Ask the Expert” segment where we will ask our own John Porter questions concerning any garden/plant/tree problems or issues you may have. As you are working in your garden this weekend, start thinking of what questions you would like to ask John!

July’s Association meeting is a Continuing Ed meeting at ReStore. The topic will be “How the (blank) do I use Volunteer Spot!?” We will all get instructions on how to use our sign up tool. 1 hour CE credit will be given.
At the July 2014 meeting, Sheri Meadows demonstrated how to create a fairy garden as part of your gardening landscape.

The next International Master Gardener Conference will be hosted by the Oregon State University Extension Master Gardener Program and the Oregon Master Gardener Association July 10-14, 2017 at at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.

At the July 2012 meeting, Randy Rader was awarded Master Gardener of the Year by WVU Extension Agent John Porter. Randy is current president of the Kanawha County Master Gardeners Association.
At the June 2011 meeting, Bill Shanklin was awarded Master Gardener of the Year by WVU Extension Agent John Porter.
